Founder & Lead Instructor


Founder and lead instructor of Historyun.com, the world’s first and only App dedicated to delivering programs and courses on Islamic History. 

Ustadh Ibrahim has delivered numerous guest lectures on Islamic History across several UK universities, he has also delivered university accredited Diploma programs and has been invited to deliver public presentations on Islamic History, at home and abroad - since 2012. 

His e-books and online courses are accessible through the Islamic History Institute (now Historyun). 

He has studied Seerah and Adab under traditional scholarship (through the Ijaaza system) and continues to pursue further studies within classical Seerah, covering various early Arabic texts.

He is also a member of the prestigious Royal Historical Society.



Umm Abdul-Rahman, BSc (Hons)

Student Admin Coordinator

Ustadha Umm Abdul-Rahman is the student administrator and lead assessor. She has travelled and studied Islam in Egypt and Syria, attaining licenses in Quran recitation and studies.

Ustadha Umm Abdul-Rahman is also a graduate in Bio-Chemistry and has served as head of department and faculty member across several UK based Islamic schools.

Ust. Mohammed Misri, BA (Hons), MSc

Seerah Faculty, Instructor (Classical Texts)

Educator, Author and Independent Researcher specialising in Islamic Political theory, Governance and the Seerah. Ustadh Mohammed has lived, studied and worked in the UK, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye and Egypt. 

He is a student of traditional Islamic scholarship and has acquired many Ijazāt in Islamic studies as well as Seerah specialism. 

Ustadh Mohammed has authored a book on the Seerah, which he teaches to students across the world, while continuing his own studies and deepening his knowledge under the tutelage of traditional scholars.

Mufti Saeed Burhan, BS (Hons), Iftaa

Seerah Faculty, Instructor

Qualified Islamic scholar with licenses in Quran, Fiqh, Hadith and the Seerah. Mufti Saeed is a Hadith specialist.

He has extensive teaching experience in classical Islamic jurisprudence and several other Sacred Sciences. Alongside his scholarship, he serves as a consultant and advisor to businesses and financial institutions across Australia, advising on Islamic commercial ethics and wealth management. His work bridges traditional Islamic Knowledge with the practical realities of finance, investment and community growth.

Mufti Saeed has a degree in Biomedical Science with a Cell and Molecular Biology Major.


Ust. Ahmir Nawaz, BA

Seerah Faculty, Instructor (Seerahography)

Ustadh Ahmir is a professional educator with a BA in History and several Ijazah licenses in classical Islamic sciences including ʿAqeedah, Fiqh, Uṣūl al-Fiqh, Seerah, and Tazkiyat al-Nafs. He has travelled and studied under the tutelage of recognised scholarly lineages.

Ustadh Ahmir has been researching and teaching the Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ since 2018, placing special emphasis on wider historical context highlighting Sociological, Ethical, and Spiritual dimensions.

By integrating historical analysis, classical Islamic scholarship, and reflective insight - he aims to present the Seerah not merely as a devotional narrative, but as a historically grounded and morally instructive framework relevant to contemporary life.

He is also a poet, writer and full-time traveller who has spent several years across several Muslim majority countries in the East.

Prof. Abu-Bakr Madden

University Lecturer and Educational Consultant in History, Sociology and Psychology (University of South Wales).

Professor Madden is an Educational Consultant for the Welsh National Assembly and has delivered public lectures and interview on national platforms including the BBC, NHS, Welsh Board of Education, Imperial College London and Cardiff University.

Professor Madden has delivered special lectures and presentations at Historyun focusing on the history of the Moors and African Muslim civilisations, as part of the Hidden Histories program

Habeeb Akande, BA (Hons), Diploma

Independent Research & Guest Lecturer

Best selling author of several leading books on Muslim History, Erotology in Islam, African Heritage and Culture.

He is a graduate of Al-Azhar, having studied Law and History. Habeeb also holds a 1st class honours degree in Film and Business, from Kingston University.

Mr Akande Lectures regularly on expert panels globally. Featured in a number of BBC and mainstream media documentaries. He has delivered special lectures and presentations at Historyun.com, focusing on the history of female scholarship in Islam, as part of the Hidden Histories program

Kamran Anwar Butt, BA

Independent Research & Instructor

Kamran is Team Lead at Bedaar.Org and the Head of Training and Development at PakPalestine Forum, where he assists in steering the effort towards providing education, leadership development, and activism for the Palestinian cause among the students and youth in Pakistan.

His passion and commitment towards Palestinian history is grounded upon rigorous study and sustained engagement in advocacy efforts. Kamran combines practical and theoretical learning in order to cultivate informed, committed individuals who can meaningfully contribute to the Palestinian cause through awareness, organizing, and principled activism.

He delivers the Project Palestine program at Historyun.com and is also co-host of the @beyondpropaganda_pk podcast on Youtube.

Afnan Khan

Independent Research & Instructor

Independent researcher and project lead at Bedaar.Org. Afnan is currently pursuit his studies of the Liberal Arts, Islamic Studies and Political Theory at Zaytuna College.

Afnan’s research and outreach work has culminated in the delivery of Project Palestine, accessible on Historyun.com

His work is rooted in the Islamic principle that knowledge precedes action, the course contains thought provoking themes and is supported by extensive academic references. Afnan is also co-host of the @beyondpropaganda_pk podcast on Youtube.
